Project description:

“Portugal, a World in one Country”, this is the motto for a journey through the world that exists within Portugal, between memory, present and future, between what unites and connects us to the world and that flows through the representation of the humanistic values of the Portuguese. This is the driving force that configured the thematization process and organization of the content programme for the Pavilion of Portugal at Expo 2020 Dubai, contributing to the strengthening of ties that allow the creation of development opportunities towards the creation of a common future.

Aiming to the dissemination of the Portuguese culture and economy, presenting the identity of Portugal as a modern, contemporary and innovative European nation; and the promotion of the country to emphasize the areas of economic diplomacy, trade exchanges, attracting tourists and international investors, it was created an exhibition program that mirrored the values of diversity, inclusion and positivism that are the basis of the essence of identity of Portugal and the spirit of the Portuguese.

In the second part of the experience, visitors are invited to get to know a country that everyone talks about, in a journey through the imagination and achievements of the Portuguese.

This journey reveals talent, creativity, innovation, imagination and invention. A portrait of the Portuguese as an element of inspiration in three major thematic areas: Diversity, Sustainability and Opportunity.

The Pavilion of Portugal experience is materialised in four major areas: Introduction, Welcome, Experience (Central experience – an immersive journey and Personalized Experience – an interactive journey), and Relationship.

Each exhibition area presents a specific identity but maintaining a common thread that conceptually organises the relationship between the different spaces, areas of the visitor journey and content programme.

The exhibition design and resources, media installations, scenography and experiences were designed with the aim of creating a visitor experience marked by surprise and by the appeal to the senses and emotions.

An immersive and intense journey with daring scenographic elements, engaging audiovisual projections, sounds, aromas, spectacular, surprising and multi-sensory stages.

An emotional and sensory experience to live, feel and discover Portugal.
