Project description:

The selected sub-theme for the Angola Pavilion is “Energy for All”, a topic that allows a broad reflection on Energy as a basic human need in today’s world.

The thematic development of the Angola Pavilion focuses on two key energy issues:the fight against poverty and access to Clean Energies as a way to accelerate economic development.

The Pavilion addresses the recent projects and policies proposed by the Government of Angola, namely the National Energy Plan. This long-term plan includes the reference to the use of clean energy and reflects the effort to mitigate climate change as well as new efforts to provide access to clean and efficient energy solutions for all as a means of defeating poverty, stimulating development and promote a more sustainable lifestyle for future generations.

The Angola Pavilion exhibition consists of a dynamic pre-show with audio-visual elements presenting an introduction to the theme of the Pavilion and basic facts about Angola. Following is a main show with an video-mapping, which aims to guide visitors on a journey through the challenges that countries like Angola face in developing new energy strategies, with a view to using clean energy and access to energy as a strategy to fight poverty, not to mention the potential and possibilities of developing new and alternative technologies.

And finally an interactive and educational area, consisting of interactive query totems with the objective of sending a message for a responsible use of natural resources and clean energies.

There is also a gallery of visual arts exhibitions around the theme Energy for All, a restaurant serving Angolan cuisine and a small shop where visitors can purchase souvenirs and promotional material about Angola. The pavilion program was complemented by a program of cultural events that took some of the Angolan culture to Astana and to the rest of the World.
